We are delighted to share that one of our Futures learners has secured a permanent, full‑time role with IFGlobal after completing a two‑day‑a‑week work experience placement.

Over the course of the work placement, he developed his skills and confidence, and following a successful 12-week contract during the busy Christmas period, he was offered a permanent, full-time role within the business. What began as a short introduction to the workplace has since become a long-term employment opportunity.

Angie Lawrence, Futures Tutor and Careers Leader at Autism Unlimited, said:

“We are extremely proud of him and very grateful to IFGlobal for recognising his potential and supporting him on this journey... a great example of how collaborative working between education providers and employers can create meaningful opportunities.”

This partnership gives learners the chance to visit IFGlobal’s fulfilment centre and experience a real operational workplace. These structured visits offer guided exposure to a professional environment, enabling learners to observe daily operations and take part in practical tasks such as box making. Through this hands‑on experience, learners build practical skills, confidence, and familiarity with workplace routines.

Collaborations with employers like IFGlobal are vital in bridging the gap between education and employment. For many neurodivergent individuals, accessing real‑world workplace experience can be challenging, and supportive environments play a crucial role in helping learners take their next steps toward meaningful careers.

Simon Barton, HR Manager at IFGlobal, said:

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to see learners grow in confidence and progress from placements into permanent roles. We’re proud to support initiatives that create accessible pathways into employment.”

Thank you to IFGlobal for recognising his potential and giving him the opportunity to build a meaningful career. We look forward to continuing our partnership with IFGlobal,  supporting more learners to build confidence, gain valuable experience, and move towards lasting employment.
