How to apply

To be considered for one of our charity places, you’ll need to complete our application form by Monday 31st August 2026.

Applications will be reviewed by our team, and successful applicants will be notified shortly after the deadline.

Registration Fee & securing your place

If your application is successful, you’ll be asked to pay a £100 registration fee. Your place is not confirmed until this fee has been paid.

Because places are limited, we will give successful applicants a set timeframe to complete payment. If the fee isn’t received within that window, the place may be offered to another applicant.

Fundraising

Each charity place comes at a cost to Autism Unlimited. To ensure we can continue providing vital support to autistic children, young people, and their families, runners are asked to commit to raising a minimum of £2,500.

Please note if you are successful in securing a charity place with us, you will be required to use Enthuse as your fundraising platform. 

We will support you throughout your fundraising journey with resources, guidance, and regular check‑ins.

By running for Autism Unlimited, you’re backing Unlimited Possibilities for autistic children, young people and adults. Your support strengthens the specialist education, guidance, support and opportunities that we provide for autistic people.

Important Information & Terms

To keep this fair, transparent, and manageable, here are the key terms applicants should be aware of:

  • Application does not guarantee a place. All applications will be considered equally. These will be reviewed and scored based on commitment, fundraising confidence, and alignment with Autism Unlimited’s values.

  • Registration fee (£100) is non‑refundable, except in the unlikely event Autism Unlimited cannot provide the place.

  • Payment deadline applies. Failure to pay the registration fee within the stated timeframe will result in the place being offered to another applicant.

  • Fundraising target: £2,500 minimum. You will be expected to raise the minimum amount and we will support you to do this. If you are unable to, we reserve the right to withdraw your place so it can be reallocated.

  • Age requirement: Runners must meet the official London Marathon age criteria.

  • Event rules: All participants must comply with London Marathon Events’ official terms and conditions.

  • Withdrawal: If you need to withdraw, please notify us as soon as possible. As our places are for the Saturday, they are only valid for the 2027 marathon and cannot be deferred but we will do our best to reallocate your place.
