After eight years as Chief Executive, Siún Cranny has left Autism Unlimited as of 31st August to pursue her long-held ambition of sailing in the Clipper Round the World Race.
Reflecting on her time with us, Siún shared:
"I am pleased to have led a period of significant change and development, including strengthening our education provision and establishing Autism Unlimited as a clear identity. It has also been rewarding to see new approaches such as E-Sports and creative therapeutic activities become part of our offer. I am grateful to colleagues across education, homes and community services for their continued dedication to supporting autistic children, young people and adults."
Over the past eight years, Siún has overseen the growth and evolution of Autism Unlimited with a stronger identity, wider range of services, and a commitment to supporting autistic people to live unlimited lives.
"On behalf of the Trustees and Senior Leadership Team, I want to thank Siún for her leadership, vision, and commitment. She leaves the charity in a strong position for the future, and we wish her every success as she takes on this exciting new adventure." - James Brazier, Interim Chair of Trustees.
Donna Wearn, previously Deputy CEO, now formally steps into the role of Interim Chief Executive as the board focus on next steps for charity's leadership arrangements.
