We believe that celebrating diversity and creating a space where everyone feels seen and can be proud of who they are is vital. This year’s Pride celebrations have been a colourful reflection of our learners’ creativity and sense of community.

Our students and learners have been marking Pride Month with several meaningful activities, each designed to highlight inclusion, raise awareness, and show support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

A real highlight has been our rainbow playground parades. Students circled the school dressed in rainbow colours and waving their homemade flags. These wonderful moments bring the school together and spark thoughtful conversations about identity and the importance of celebrating who we are.

Every Wednesday, the celebration continued with Pride Picnics. These picnics gave everyone a chance to come together in a relaxed environment, sharing food, and enjoying each other’s company. It’s been a lovely way to reinforce that love and acceptance belong at the heart of every community.

Our Portfield School Sixth Form students have done themselves proud, giving meaningful talks to share their personal experiences and insights. Their courage and openness inspire us! we are so grateful to everyone who stood up and spoke from the heart.

To round off our Pride celebrations, we’re taking part in the Bourne Free celebrations. We look forward to connecting with the wider community, sharing our message of inclusion, and celebrating individuals with Pride.
