Following a thorough review of the Adults residential services in the West, it has become apparent that the long-term viability of our Middle Path residential home is in question.
Autism Unlimited is committed to providing the best possible care for the people we support. We also have a responsibility to ensure the financial sustainability of our services in order to continue operating effectively.
The most responsible course of action for both the people we support and the charity is to close Middle Path, with a date of 31st July.
We recognise the uncertainty and concern this situation may cause and we are working closely with local authority partners to find placements that best suit each resident’s individual needs.
We understand that this news may be unsettling, and we remain committed to supporting our residents, their families, and our colleagues throughout this process.
