Leave a legacy to Autism Unlimited…

Leaving a gift in your Will to Autism Unlimited can help us build a brighter future for the children and adults we support.

A legacy gift is an item or donation that an individual leaves to a charity in their Will. They can come in all shapes and sizes, including a set amount of money, a share of your estate, or a specific object.

We understand that looking after your family and friends will always be your first priority. Once you have remembered your loved ones, you might start thinking about a cause that is close to your heart.

Many people who have a connection to autism choose to leave a gift to Autism Unlimited. Your legacy is a wonderful way to ensure that our great work goes on. With your help, we can continue to support and empower those living with autism to lead happy and fulfilled lives.

What is the impact?

Each autistic person is individual and unique with their own set of aspirations. Your legacy can help turn their dreams into a reality.

There are limited choices for young people with additional needs who need more support to transition into adulthood safely. That’s why we opened Futures – to help them move forward with their lives and reach their goals.

Several Learners have progressed into paid roles and seen amazing successes. But there are still many challenges they have to overcome to find the right job.

For example, they may struggle financially with the cost of getting to and from their new employer. We could help remove this anxiety with a bursary scheme that would provide additional short-term funding for any Learner wanting to take that job of a lifetime.

Your legacy donation has the potential to eliminate these barriers to their ambitions and help deliver new opportunities to those we support.

Make a heartfelt commitment and help us create a world of unlimited possibilities for autistic people.

How do I leave a legacy?

Charitable giving doesn’t have to be too complicated. While it is essential to consult with a legal professional or solicitor when preparing your Will, the process is generally straightforward and they will guide you through it.

You can let your kindness live on by following these simple steps:

  1. Choose a cause and a gift - you can leave a gift in your Will to whoever you wish, including family, friends and charities.

  2. Choose your solicitor and executor - a solicitor can help you draft up a Will and your executor will carry out the instructions.

  3. Finalise your wishes - when you have decided your wishes, sign with your chosen legal representative.

  4. Change a life - big or small, your gift has the power to change lives and help others for decades to come.

If you would like to make a Will or amend your Will, please talk to a solicitor. If you wish to leave a gift to Autism Unlimited, please provide our charity number, 1000792, to your solicitor.

Any gift is gratefully received and will make a huge difference to the lives of autistic children, adults and their families.
